Rosenthal Pauerstein Sandoloski Agather LLP is pleased to announce that Sylvia A. The San Antonio Bar Association election opens tomorrow, April 2. Please check your inbox tomorrow for your personal SABA ballot to vote.

The SABA Nomination Committee is pleased to present the 2024-2025 SABA Board of Directors election slate to serve under the leadership of Patricia "Patty" Rouse Vargas, the current President-elect.

Other nominations may be made by submitting to the SABA Nomination Committee a written petition signed by 25 SABA members, requesting and designating the name or names of other members to be placed on the list of candidates. The deadline for submission of petition candidates is March 22, 5 p.m.

The online election will be conducted April 2-22. The election closes on April 22 at 5 p.m. CST. The Texas Bar Foundation has selected Judge Fred Biery as the 27th recipient of the Samuel Pessarra Outstanding Jurist Award.  Honorees must have served on the bench for at least ten years and exhibit an exceptionally outstanding reputation for competency, efficiency and integrity.  Judge Biery joins a small group of San Antonio recipients that include Judge Solomon Casseb, Jr (1987), Judge Guadalupe Rivera (2001), Judge David Peeples (2007), Chief Justice Sandee Bryan Marion (2020) and Judge Xavier Rodriguez (2021).  Judge Biery will be recognized at the Texas Bar Foundation Annual Dinner on June 21 in Dallas.

Santos has demonstrated his dedication to the members and the profession through his leadership on hands-on projects for the benefit of the local and State Bar.  He has the skills, experience and drive to work for the benefit of Texas lawyers.  We are proud to know him and enthusiastically support his campaign.  Voting begins on April 1.

The SABA Federal Courts Committee (FCC) hosted its December 9 Trial of Santa Claus in which Boy Scouts who were earning their Citizenship and Nation Merit Badges and 4th graders at Bonham Academy participated, presided by U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad. 

While the Trial of Santa Claus took place, Judge Jason Pulliam was presiding in a separate courtroom over the Fox Tech Law Magnet High School mock trial. The Trial of Santa Claus

The SABA Federal Courts Committee (FCC) hosted its December 9 Trial of Santa Claus in which Boy Scouts who were earning their Citizenship and Nation Merit Badges and 4th graders at Bonham Academy participated, presided by U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad. 

Members are invited to enjoy refreshments and mingle with candidates during this informal mixer. Candidates from every County Commissioner and local judicial contested race on the ballot in Bexar County have been invited.
