ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY/PERSONAL INJURY

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling litigation tasks including drafting pleadings, discovery and other legal memoranda. The role also includes preparing cases for hearings, mediations, depositions and trial. Communication with clients, the courts and opposing counsel is also required. The Associate Attorney will work under the guidance of a partner at the firm. to develop trial strategies and deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 yrs of experience in personal injury
- Willingness to take initiative and propose solutions
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills; including relationship building with clients
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other attorneys and staff
- Experience handling motions live in court (e.g. MSJ; Motion to Compel)
- Experience with depositions (e.g. presenting plaintiffs; taking witnesses, defendants)
- Previous trial participation is a plus
- Willingness to travel
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
