What is the Ask A Lawyer event?


The San Antonio Bar Association hosts Ask A Lawyer every Tuesday, from 4:00pm -7:00pm CST.? Community members sign up for a date and a volunteer attorney will call them between 4:00pm and 7:00pm to answer questions and provide resources.

 

Calls are limited to 15 minutes. This is a FREE community service.

How do I sign up for a call slot?


You can sign up for a call slot by using our public sign-up sheet. Call slots will be available one week before the Ask the Lawyer event, on a first come, first served basis. The sign-up sheet will close 24 hours before the start time of the Ask A Lawyer event. If you would like to sign up for a time slot to speak with an attorney, please select the Ask A Lawyer event from the list below. REGISTRATION FOR EACH ASK A LAWYER EVENT WILL CLOSE 24 HOURS BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS.

How do I prepare for my call?


During your requested time slot, a volunteer attorney will call you from an anonymous or private phone number. Your phone will need to accept anonymous, unknown, and private calls. Phone calls will last no longer than 15 minutes. Please be prepared with your legal question and brief summary of your issue.
