Who are we?
The SABF Fellows are a group of friends who serve as patrons of the charitable heart of the legal community. Together, these elected members make a difference in expanding civics education, filling the gap for access to justice and supporting the pipeline of future leaders in the San Antonio legal family. Fellows of the SABF are selected for their professional achievements and their commitment to the legal community.
Selection as a Fellow of the SABF is restricted to members of the San Antonio Bar Association (SABA) who are in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. The Foundation’s Fellows Nomination Committee annually selects one-third of one percent of SABA members to become Fellows of the Foundation. The SABF Board of Trustees confirm all nominations.
The Fellows Program, established in 1985, is made up of more than 600 Fellows, consisting of three levels of membership: Fellows, Life Fellows and Sustaining Life Fellows. Fellows who complete their pledge of support become Life Fellows of the SABF, and continued support after a Fellow’s pledge is complete elevates a Life Fellow to a Sustaining Life Fellow.
