July's CJP clinic was a success! Thanks to our estate planning experts, we had updated forms that contributed to the ease of the drafting process. Each of the 19 clients received advice and/or counsel regarding estate planning, a fully drafted will, and statutory powers of attorney. "Our volunteer turn out was great," notes Sharon Breckenridge Thomas, Managing Attorney of CJP, "[altogether] there were 22 attorneys, 4 estate planning experts, 7 notaries/paralegals, 22 law students, and 1 judge who volunteered."
Many thanks to Judge Veronica Vasquez, Norton Rose Fulbright, St. Mary’s University School of Law, SABA, Valero, and the legal community for the support given to this clinic. Our volunteers are the best! We hope to see you for our final Wills Clinic of the year on October 22, 2019.
